On 21 January, SHINE held a first online meeting with 22 colleagues joining from 11 organisations and based in four continents.

Following roundtable introductions, the meeting included discussion of the overall project plan, ways of working together within and across four work packages, and the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations.

The meeting also included initial planning for a 5-day meeting and workshop for the project team in Ghana, which would include a visit to an off-grid community in the Ada East District, Greater Accra Region.
