The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, The Gambia leads efforts to ensure sustainable energy supply and universal access across The Gambia. It promotes clean and reliable energy systems, manages petroleum and mineral resources responsibly, and supports socio-economic development through energy policy and infrastructure.
MoPE works with national agencies and partners to advance renewable energy and efficient resource use for long-term growth.
Ministry of Energy (Ghana)
The Ministry of Energy, Ghana formulates and implements policies to ensure reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy for Ghana’s development. It oversees power generation, transmission, and distribution, promotes renewable energy, and works toward universal electricity access.
The Ministry also regulates petroleum and gas sectors, aiming to strengthen energy security and support socio-economic growth through strategic projects and partnerships
Volta River Authority (VRA)
The Volta River Authority generates and supplies electricity to power Ghana’s economy and improve living standards across West Africa. It operates major hydro and thermal plants while expanding renewable energy through solar and wind projects.
VRA emphasizes safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible power delivery, aiming to sustain energy security, promote universal access, and support socio-economic growth through innovation and stakeholder partnerships.
